Analysis: Kane scored his 298th and 299th career goals, which moved him past Dennis Hull for sole possession of fifth place in franchise history. The 29-year-old trails only Brett Hull (604 goals), Stan Mikita (541), Steve Larmer (406) and Denis Savard (377).

|With Jets defensemen Dustin Byfuglien and Toby Enstrom out due to injuries on Sunday, Morrissey, who had a goal and an assist, is being counted on to not only up his game defensively, but to replace some of the lost offense.
Analysis: Morrissey has two goals over the past four games after having just three over his first 30.

|Hellebuyck said the Jets deserved to beat the Blues 4-0 on Sunday, particularly since he thought they were the better team on back-to-back nights. It was just his third game out of his past nine in which he has posted a save percentage above .900. The Jets were 1-3-1 in their past five games prior to Sunday.
Analysis: Hellebuyck finished with 24 saves in his second shutout of the season.

Already without key forwards Bo Horvat and Sven Baertschi, the Canucks can ill afford an extended absence from the promising young wing.

The Preds return home to face the Jets on Tuesday, and Rinne had 32 saves in a 5-3 win over Winnipeg on Nov. 20 to improve to 5-1-0 with a 2.16 GAA in his last six matchups.

Analysis: Landeskog, who was in the midst of a three-game stretch without a point, had his first career hat trick on Nov. 16 against Washington. He's the first Avs player to have two hat tricks in a season since Milan Hejduk in 2006-07.
